Governors

Our Local Board is the Totnes Local Advisory Committee (LAC).

Totnes Local Advisory Committee serves Broadhempston, Diptford, Harbertonford, Landscove, Sparkwell and Stoke Gabriel primary academies. The Totnes Hub clerk is Nicol Bush, she can be contacted through her email address Nicol.Bush@thelink.academy. Totnes and Newton and Teign Federations were the first Hubs to be formed as they were operating as such when the Trust was established. Newton and Teign have now joined with the Moorland Hub. These were the two Federations that joined together to form the Link Academy Trust in April 2016.

Caroline Lucas has 2 children at Sparkwell and is our parent representative on the board, she meets half termly with the headteacher and reports back to the LAC. This year Jenny Sparkes, our senior teacher, is the teacher representative on the Board.

I have several years of experience teaching Early Years and also hold a degree in working with children and families. In addition, I am a successful business owner, responsible for managing over fifty staff. Three of my children have attended Sparkwell school, and currently, my son is in year 6 while my daughter is in year 3. I am deeply passionate about Sparkwell's ethos and values, which prioritises the children's education, and I am committed to supporting this mission.
